Thor Høy is a designer based in Copenhagen who moves freely between design fields such as jewelry, furniture, lighting, and industrial design. With a background in Nordic modernism – combined with a good dose of poetry, practicality, and a twinkle in the eye – Thor Høy creates functional and aesthetically balanced designs with character. Together with out-sider, he has designed CIRCUS, a rethinking of the classic bench. Inspired by the city’s chaotic, lively, and colorful pulse, he has created a circular modular series that invites more than just sitting. Here, new social encounters, play, and movement arise – naturally and spontaneously. CIRCUS breaks with the conventional way of thinking about urban space and celebrates the city’s pulsing “circus” – where people, bikes, colors, sounds, and life come together in an urban setting.
